1850 Tie Rod Ends

Finally have a chance to replace the wobbly tie rod ends on my 1850 wide front. Any tricks for pulling the outer tie rod ends out of their tubes? I've got new ends to go in but the rod end and tube are stuck
tight. Next time (or this time if they don't come free) I'm going to buy the whole tie rod assembly and not mess with just the ends. Thanks for the help.

On a 4440 Deere I was able to put a jack between side frame and tie rod end. Put a little pressure on with power steering. Some heat and came loose with one wack of hammer.

What is the diameter of the rod? It's 15/16 on my 1550 and I'm wondering why they are that large, unless they used the same rods on all of them. I see smaller sizes in catalogs, though. Mine were stuck, too, and I used a small press to push them in to break loose after I took the inner ends off. Lots of Kroil and a little torch, too.
