Auction prices-I need help

Of all the fool things to do,I wrote down prices on the back of my buyers number, then I gave it to the cashier when I paid my bill. Rustyplow will have to fill in the blanks and correct me where I'm wrong.

The 76 grain drill brought $1400. I know that because I ran it to $1300

Super 77 diesel $3000

1610 trip bucket loader sold separate for $300

552 fork lift $6300

OC4 crawler $2900

1800A gas new restoration I think ended up at $4800

66 with wide front $1050

There was a 720 baler,not pictured brought $800.

1755,1955,1850 and 880,I don't remember well enough to say for sure.

I wrote down the prices on some of the weights and stuff too,but it's in the trash now.

Thought you were going to say the prices were so low, that you bought everything pictured. And needed help to store them.

What did you buy? I would imagine you are disappointed over the drill but there will be another time for one.

Parts. Most of the stuff is things that a dealer probably never would be able to sell. There was a pair of 3pt hitch balls in there, six generators,a pipe that I'm pretty sure is an exhaust pipe from my 7300 combine,an oil cooler, tag says it's for an 1850. I need one for my 1550. I need to see it it'll fit. I only spent $27.50,so I didn't get beat up too bad.

Believe me,there were things that I've always wanted. The OC4 and the narrow front 1800A gas were both right up near the top of my want list. Too bad they're not even on my need list.

Know what you mean. Going to pick up a tractor that I really don't need or want but the price was too good to pass on. It is an orchard model Case/David Brown.

Thanks for the info rrlund. I appreciate you taking the time to post all the info. Sorry you lost your notes. Sounds like you did ok today. How was the auction otherwise? Alot of people?

So In between putting in a new laminate floor for my wifes uncle we went to a farm retirement auction around the corner from him. Bought 2 hay wagons for $225 ea. I am not in the hay business but I have plans for the running gear from the one and plans for the other.

The 1800 was a 1960. They sold the 880 as a 1959. He used to farm with the 1800,but it had a knock and he took the engine out and had it rebuilt about eight years ago. He didn't put it back together until this year,so the engine didn't have two hours on it. He bought the 880 at an auction a few years ago,not long before Big Marv from YT died, because Big Marv got the weights off it.

Ya,it was. He bought it in 73. It was his main tractor until he bought the 1850 in 85 or 86.

Huge crowd. Two rings all day. More Oliver hats and shirts than you've likely ever seen in one place in your life. Some big name Oliver guys from other states were there. It was probably a good thing that other Oliver auction got postponed. Some of the stuff wasn't his,I believe it belonged to Big Marv's widow,so there was Oliver goodies from two collections in one place.

Those are good prices for the tractors. I think a real good deal for the 1955 even if it needed engine work. (If I remember correctly the listing said it could possibly have water in the oil). That's a deal for the 1850, we paid 5 for ours and it's not in as good of shape as that one looked.

Thanks again for that manual. I appreciate it more than you know. Did you see the 60 and the "pile of 1800" sell? I was loading my plunder and talking to Nelson LeCount when they were selling them. I think those belonged to Ron's (Big Marv) widow didn't they,or didn't they say?

You have to know Dale. He's as honest as the day is long and maybe a little too honest for his own good. The way I understood it,it had a little bit of antifreeze in the oil after it sat all winter. He had drained it and just had water in it. He said it had leaked several years ago and he overhauled it,but he noticed it was doing it again and he wanted everybody to know it. Might have been if you'd worked it and got it good and warm,it might have re sealed if it was an o ring. A tube of Alumaseal might have sealed it up too.

The 1850 looked even nicer than mine. He was the second owner of that one. The sprage clutch was weak in the hyrda power, but so's mine.

Its hard to find honest people like that anymore. It very well could have been something simple as a o-ring or such.

OK,thanks. That 1800 was probably a deal if you wanted to part it out,but way too many puzzle pieces there to try to get it going. Hofferbert's have an A series gasser over there that runs for $2000. When I bought that 1600 basket case a few years back, there were just too many major little things missing.

I was just searching local Craigslist for David Brown. I found an 885 that was half an orchard. Had one orchard fender and one that looked like it was off a 430 Case or something. LOL

Ever see a 4600 gas? There's a jockey lot across the road from where that sale was. I parked my truck and trailer over there. He had one sitting there right next to where I parked.

Randy, think somebody on the Case side posted that one. Not even close to an orchard model. Standard model that someone added an extension on the fender. Will post pics of mine when I get it home this weekend.
