Hello ..This is my first post so please bare with me. I came across an earlier discussion dated nov. 1/2017 regarding Oliver 660's and 770's. A member inquired on the number of Oliver RC 770's painted in Cockshutt colors. I own a Cockshutt RC 770 . It has a serial number 126 129 721 . iN CHECKING WITH THE Floyd County Museum in Charles City , they informed me that my tractor was built on Nov. 30 1962 and shipped to Brantford Ontario on Jan. 8 1963. It has the steel bar grill ,Oliver stamped clam fenders and optional Power booster drive. They informed me that Charles City built 194 Cockshutt RC 770's.I did a complete restoration in 2017. I'll try to attach a picture .Thought this might be of interest.

We were just talking about those at an auction yesterday. A Deere guy just a little north of me said he bought one with a mounted picker on it. He's got two neighbors who are in to the Cockshutts. He said one of them was pestering the daylights out of him while he was taking the picker off, wanting to buy the tractor. He said he knew from the way he was after him that he had something special there. He said it was an odd thing, the serial tag under the dash was on upside down.

Just to be clear , the 194 Cockshutt RC 770's were painted in the old Cockshutt colors of harvest gold and vermillion red for the years 63 and 64 . And from 65 to 67 White Motor painted them red and white with approx. 90 to 100 built before production ended....that's. Info I received from Floyd County Museum

The steel bar grill was replaced by the fiberglass grill in early 1963 so Cockshutt 770 tractors with the bar grill are on the scarce side. Flat top fenders came at that time as well. J.

Any idea how many bar grill Cockshutt. Rc 770 were built ?

Thank you for that info. I guess I need to contact the museum and find out more about mine as well. I have
since found and purchased a second 1963 cockshutt 770 with the bar grill. Neither of mine have oliver stamped in
the fenders though, they are just smooth.

Very nice looking tractor!!
