Hi:
Doing some prep work on our 1750 to get it ready for the seasons work. Looking at fixing some minor issues like:
1) Only one front facing light on the would be passenger side works. The both lamps work when power is applied to them, so problem is switch or wiring. I took dash apart to test switch. When turning switch I can find power to a pin and lights on the would be drivers side work. Is there any connectors besides what is in the engine area?
2) Last summer the tach reading would bounce. The recommendation was to put ATF in the cable housing and that helped, but it still has a bounce. I figured while I had the dash apart I would pull the cable out of the housing and soak it. I cannot pull the cable out. Is there something holding it to the drive?
3) One of the power steering lines was leaking. After removing the radiator I was able to get the lines off. Somewhere in the tractors past life someone used vice grips on the steel lines. How much pressure is there from the power steering? Can I splice in a new line section using compression fittings? Or, should I put a flare on the line with a reinforced rubber line?
Thanks for your thoughts.
