Bought the tractor just about a year ago. Brother and I gave it a check over and all looked okay - considering some replacements were needed.
It had 2 brand new oil filters, one for the tranny and one for the engine oil. So, left it.
Tractor down due to having 2 more hydraulic cylinders rebuilt, I decided the engine oil was too dirty for my liking. So drained the oil and bought a new oil filter. Manual states 8 quarts without filter. Odd that it would say without filter as the filter is upside down and doesn't retain oil other than the element inside.
Well, I put in 8 quarts and the dip stick showed over a quart low.
Called my brother. Right dip stick. No dimensions available for oil pan. Oil level before draining showed full. So added oil until oil level is right on the bottom of the full line. 9 1/2 quarts of oil.
Anyone else experience this?
