Boy am I getting old. I had a compression tester that work on the super 88. Now I cannot find it, must have lent it but do not remember. Two
question what is the adapter that i had and where can I get one? Will the same one work on 77 and 88, I think it did but it has been too long. I
made one for thr energy cell but cannot remeber how well it worked. Any help for this old man would be greatly appreciated.

Oh while I am here there is diesel ge ting in to the gas, it is not the lit pump I already had it off and tested it. The only other place I know fuel
can get in the oil is the injection pump, anything I am missing. I guess I need to find place to rebuild the pump, it should be okay to rebuild the
tractor runs just not well.

Well I know where my injector side compression adapter went. Lent it to a man and he didn't return it and now he is gone and so is my adapter.

If your looking for that 1755 find one for a John Deere with pencil injectors Send me an e-mail. You have a compression problem.

I'm also looking for a compression tester adapter to fit an Oliver super 88. Did anyone ever find one? How could I get a hold of one?

You will probably need to modify an old injector core to make the compression test adapter, that's what I use a lot along with the diesel glow plug compression test set I have. Injection pump needs the hydraulic head seals replaced as they fail over time and leak fuel into oil. Pump needs treated with care as there are no rebuilt hydraulic heads around if needed like there were years ago, or any other parts either for that matter.

Do you know where I could get an old injector core? What do you mean by modifying it?

I'm also not sure what you mean by "Injection pump needs the hydraulic head seals replaced". Could you explain more? I'm new at this...

That means there are orings or seals in the injection pump that with age, fuel exposure and heat cycles fail to seal. The hydraulic head is basically the part the injector lines connect to. Bottom line the pump needs resealed/ rebuilt whatever you want to call it. Dieseltech who answered above runs a pump repair shop. If you need pump work done contact him through “Conversations” by clicking his user name.

I'm still wondering how to get a hold of an old injector core a Super 88, 1957...
Then when I do, how to modify it to use on my compression tester...
