1850 diesel engine

My son has 1850 diesel that broke a rod and tore up the engine pretty good. I'm looking for a used replacement engine and not having any luck . Anybody know where I can get a 354 Perkins for the 1850 ?
 
Combine engine as long as you have the old engine for all the the parts you have to swap. I have one out of a White 8700 in mine.
 
Was changing the oil filter housing easy ? Front cover and oil pump driveshaft too right ?

I had to put a pipe plug and soft plug in the holes where the combine oil filter was. When you change the oil pump, use the plumbing for the tractor engine too. Front cover and pan, rear side cover, water pump, tappet cover, injector lines and throttle linkage.
 
from the massey 750 and 850 combines, then u have yours for the parts changing. i dont know why perkins has so many variations. they are a nice sounding engine. i was even thinking to put one in my 1755. i got to fill up the oil everytime i fill with fuel like 6-7 hrs.
 
My 1850 has a 354 turbo out of a red cab MF 750 in it for close to 20 years. Strip everything off of the motor and replace with all of the Oliver parts

One other tip on the combine engines, check the position of the manifold bolts. Some are horizontal, some are diagonal. I think the tractor engine is diagonal, but look to make sure.
