Would the Monroe EZ ride seat come original on a 1940? Books don't show it.

My personal thought is that is a dealer add on. Sure is a big improvement though.

Is a Cockshutt model so maybe?

I don't think so. My 70 parts book doesn't show it and it includes the specific Cockshutt seats as well. But who knows. There's could be an Oliver accessory catalog somewhere from the 40s that shows them.

Keep in mind, you could write what I know on the head of a pin, but as far as ''I know'', Bostrum was the only outside vendor to build Oliver seats. I had a Monroe on a 39 70, but I never doubted that it was an aftermarket add on.
