Carb for bored out 1949 JD A

I have bored out my 49 A .125 over with high compression piston. Also have shaved the head .150 and ported the intake.
Seems like I can't get enough gas to it to make power. Wondering which carb would be best to give more gas. A dltx 51 or such. Thanks for any advice

Good rebuilt #71 will work fine, make sure you have good flow to the carb, a larger line
wont hurt. It will run on lower octain but good fuel will make difference.

Yep, stock carb in good shape will feed it okay....but be sure to use non-ethanol fuel......It makes all the difference in my "slightly warmed up" G, powerwise and economy wise.
