Couple things from Northern Tool Opinions??

Hey folks,
any of you seen or used either of these things? I need a pump that will let me fill my water trailers at the creek instead of with tap water that I pay for. Secondary job would be transfering water from one tank to another at the most 80 ft apart. Was looking at a Gardena (German made brand) at the local F&F that they'll give me a good deal and service on but this one is about half the price.
If the wagon kit is worth anything, I could use a nice hay and wood cart for around the house. Hard to judge this stuff just by a picture.

Thanks, Dave

I haver one of their wagons with similar running gear. It is a very good sturdy wagon. I did find that the tires would go flat so I added Slime to them and cured that.Otherwise it has been a very good wagon.
The pump looks like a good deal too. I have bought many items from Northern over the years and find them to be a good company with good products.

(quoted from post at 06:31:12 03/24/10) No tax or fee on creek water? Somebody is slipping up on an opportunity in Germany

SSSHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
We have to pay twice for tap water though.... Incoming and outgoing. We have a seperate meter to subtract what is used in the garden and barn (water tanks etc) so we don't have to pay the sewage cost.

My .02...

I think I would look at a 2" or 2.5" transfer pump. They are not all that much more expensive, and I think you'll be much happier with the performance. The drawback is that you'll likely have to buy some hose and fittings for the larger pump, where the smaller pump you maybe could get garden hose fittings to work.

When pumping from the creek, make sure your intake is somewhat supported off the bottom, or use some kind of intake strainer - These pumps don't like to eat rocks.

Efficient, lightweight pump is powered by a 19.8cc Mitsubishi engine with technologically advanced 2-stroke design. Delivers 1742 GPH

Two stroke engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(quoted from post at 12:07:36 03/24/10) So what's the fine/penalty for talking water from a natural water course? Dave
None, There even paved access points periodically on some waterways and the creek that runs through town (manmade course) has steps going down and sump holes. Wife is checking again today to make sure that there are no new restrictions.

Guess I don't need a pump.......... Since 2 or 3 years ago, you can dip the creek dry with a bucket but you can't use a pump. Makes since to me

That's that money saved.......

You just need a 250 gallon stock tank to set in the edge of the water, and a dozen people with buckets, and a pump in the tank.......
