Wanted 3-4 ton floor jack

I bought a three ton Jack at Harbor Freight for like $75 with a coupon. I've split tractors with it and use it nearly every day. It's held up great so far. It's identical to the one NAPA was selling for three x the money.

I have one from HF with the rapid lift. It raises a lot faster till it starts lifting. I'd buy another if I could justify it. I forget what I paid for it, but it was under $100.

i gotta go with the harbor freight jack also. we would go thru jacks every 2 to 3 years at the shop. good quality spendy ones. cost too much to rebuild them. switched to the hf ones, if they break, we are only out a hundo or so.

Me also I have always brought Walker jacks from NAPA BUT they seamed to always fail after a 3 years are so service... A rebuild did not last more than a couple of years if that. Last one I brought a NAPA Walker clone from NAPA made in china I spec still going strong after 9 years... Bout all I can say good is the NAPA Walker/clone is built strong... Dunno about the HF...

Steve I have used junk jacks from China in my tire shop. They last 2-3 months in daily use. When my back forced me to retire from my tire shop I bought a new jack from my tire shop supplier. They lasted us 3-5 years at the shop. That is with daily use. The cost of these jacks was $165.00 last time I checked. If you are serious about needing 1 -- I would check with a local high volume tire shop.

I buy all tires from a local, very busy, tire store which uses Harbor Freight jacks exclusively. I asked the owner about that and he told me that they stand up well to his hard use and cost next to nothing. Hard to argue the point with him.

HF is where I bought both of mine. I still have and use the one I bought over 30 years ago and some time ago I added a second so that I could jack up things where 2 jacks worked better than one....rotating your tires for one.

I have a handful of the 3 ton models from various stores..all imports(under $100)...and one very old 3 ton from the 70's..USA.
The imports work fine, one is a little touchy on attempting very slow lowering.
Last year I picked up the Harbor Freight 4-ton model ($129, sometimes on sale for a bit less) Good jack, heavy duty, strong.
Satisfied enough that I am watching the sales to get another 4 ton.
Working on tractors, especially with loaded tires, seems to work the 3 ton models a bit hard. No issues, but the 4 ton...does it better.

Thank you everyone for info on the HF 4-ton jack. Just bought one and very happy with it, thanks again nice site to use.
