If I see the original belt, just take it to the store with you. if no original, put a 3/8 inch rope around the pulleys and make a
mark. Just do it. Jim

Load it up and take it with you. Go in and get several belts and narrow it down to the one you need.

I have purchased these belts from Vbeltsupply.com. Be sure to measure the back of that belt, it's 5/8 I think...They'll tell you how to measure it to get the right belt. If I was at home, I'd give you the belt number....but I won't be home for a few days.

I bought a Bachtold mower when I retired in 2000. It's in storage in the back of my barn. I have the original manual to. Give me a couple of days to dig it out.

I rented two Bachtold mowers, one in 1996 and 1997. I went back o the same rent-all store in 1998 and the manager said both of his Bachtold mowers were rented for cash deposit. He never saw either one of them again.

He said he had seen the man in his store several times over the years so he trusted him with just a few hundred in cash. He said he has never seen him again. He stopped renting the Bachtold because of this one thief.
I liked it so much I bought me a Bachtold as my retirement gift in 2000.

I ordered it directly from a place in Pennsylvania for $2000, and never regretted it.
It's the best brush mover ever made and will run circles around one of those Troybuilt brush cutters.

I should still have the bill-of-sale and a telephone of the store.

Give me a day or so.

(quoted from post at 12:27:57 07/14/18) Interesting how similar yours is to this old Ottawa brush saw I have.

Lumber.. Your Ottawa looks a lot like a pulp wood saw from the 40 and 50's.

Looks a lot like the ROOF high wheeled weed mower Dad had. They were common for mowing fence lines
around fields 50-60 years ago. Now days there's no fences, and no fence lines anywhere around where we
farmed.

I borrowed Dad's Roof to mow over-grown weeds around our lot, some 4-5, even 6 ft tall at a rather fast
paced walking speed. The shorter tangled Crown Vetch gave me more problems than to tall grass did. Mowed
about an hour a day in the early morning, let it lay for 2-3 weeks and started mowing it with my Cub
Cadet teactors. First time with all that dry grass made some windrows but after a month they were gone.
