Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop radio? I carry it with me around the pasture so it has to be sturdy. I just trashed one that that kept cutting in and out.

I've never tried one, but have seen them at the big box stores, the ones designed for construction sites that operate off a rechargeable tool battery.

I would assume they would be loud and well built to handle getting knocked around.

I use dewalt radio. I can charge batteries or a battery can power radio too.
Look for a radio that charges batteries and it will work off same battery.

Couple of contractor guys have told me they like the Milwaukee one better. You can try them out at the box store. Also depends if you have any power tools that would fit the charger section.

For inside the shop I have an old stereo receiver like you would find at a yard sale or household auction with two book shelf speakers, they're MTX brand, made in Phoenix, AZ, Winslow, Illinois, or across the border in Monroe, Wisconsin, yep, AMERICAN designed and made. See your local TV & appliance store for them.

For outside the shop either a DeWalt or Milwakee contractors radio would work.
