Billy Shafer Generator ?

I have a parts manual and the Generac 4700 4.0 RV genny (its full inside there and I cant see anything) but cant tell exactly where the fan forced cooling air INTAKE is ??? On the bottom left side there's a 2 inch screen all the way across where air is really blowing out fast n hard, so maybe the INTAKE is on one side and EXHAUST out the other ???? it feels like its all blowing OUT there, hard to tell exactly so much air. In the bottom center there's a low volume small air intake slot (has weak vacuum there) but I think that's the fresh combustion air intake to the carb???

Where in that case floor (all else is sealed in) is the fan sucking in air for cooling?? Ima thinkin its one side of that big bottom slot...?...

Thanks Billy,

Thanks, yep I already have that manual and genset. Its picture/text looks like it draws air in on the bottom right front but looking at the genny itself it doesn't seem so ?? It's hard to tell down underneath there too crowded and full of stuff inside lol. I'm gonna crawl under with a small fan and my air blow gun maybe a cigar to track smoke and a good light and hopefully can figure out the cooling air flow path.

THANKS

John You should be able to feel the intake air. Or take a paper towel or some smoke. See where it goes. The last one I did was in the front across the engine and out the bottom. I will look yours up.

I agree from looking at the manual. It comes in bottom right sucked up across the engine. Out the left side. Don't know if you can enlarge the intake. I would check on the outlet side make sure the exhaust side is clear. Check the intake screen make sure it is clear.

If you get bored come see me. I have got two trucks,a ferterlizer buggy and a spray rig. To get out this week.
