I have a Craftsman 4"X24" belt sander that I've owned for more than 40 years. When a bearing went bad about 35 years ago I learned that Sears had already stopped supporting that model. I was able to get the part I needed from a bearing company and kept it going until last year. I thought I'd burned it up then, but for some reason I didn't look at the brushes at that time. Today, prior to junking it, I realized that I hadn't checked the brushes, and did so. From the look of them, it's possible that that's the problem. Well, actually that would be problem one. Problem two would be finding replacement brushes. Can anyone direct me to a seller of brushes for orphaned tools, or a source of generic brushes that I might be able to order by size. Or suggest some other way to do it. eBay was no help.
