gained 10 miles per gallon wiyh my pickup

You guys are doing great. I spent $1100 on my $100 Ford 6.0 Diesel on Friday only to have it not start again on Saturday. Wish it would run for a whole tank of fuel.

My neighbor just got a lot of miles for little gas use yesterday. He filled up, pulled out of the station and at the first light, he was T-boned by someone running a red light. No injuries but his truck traveled the next several miles on the wrecker hook. He could not even get hauled on a roll-back.

My military M-1028 pick-up always has a load of tools and other necessities in the bed..My service truck hasn"t turned a tire in over a year as long as I don"t need the boom..The Chevy [ army brat ]still gets a consistant 16-17 mpg even with all the junk in back..I"m not complaining....

yea isnt that the truth a guy once told me only a lazy man cleans up his shop because he is to lazy to look for his tools LOL

My uncle in Ks. hasnt claened out his pickup bed in over 10 years. He tells me that every once in a while he finds a check in the cab from someone who has "purchaced parts"from his truck!

Howdy,
Beat this one if you can. I had to go to the dump Sat. with my old "86 F150. I had to look underneath to see which tank still didn't leak. I was suprised to see a brand new tank under there. I forgot that I had paid $200.00 for a new tank back in Nov., guy at the garage said "I only put in 2 gallons so stop at the first gas station". Well after paying the $200.00 I didn't have enough cash to fill up both my trucks so the $20.00 went into the gas tank on my "92 F150. The $20.00 lasted till Sat. also. Two trucks, total gas cost for 6 months $20.00 !!!!

I almost forgot one small detail, wife had a complete knee replacement in Nov. and wasn't able to get in either truck so we ran the wheels off the van.

Ever see the guys runnin around with there tailgates down. Was proven on Mythbusters that you use more gas with it down and it ruins your tailgate hinges from all the bouncin around.
