Just bought my 4010 and pulling a 15 ft disc with it and the temp gauge is running on the H and not passed. It starts alittle below the center and works it way to H in about 20 minutes , the ground is gentley rolling . I blew out the radiator last night and checked the fluids but it went to H again. I dont know what the gauge should read or what to check next ? Any information would be great. Thanks

What is the actual coolant temp in degrees? Sticking the stat probe in a jar with a candy thermometer is the only way to know.
Given the 4010's age. Odds are the origional fan/water pump, generator and even the crank pulley grooves are worn.
A new belt and cranking it down extra tight isn't the answer either. That stunt just ruins water pump and generator bearings.

'Pretty good chance your radiator is failing. I had to have a new radiator installed in my 4010. 'Had the same thing going on as you do now. That is an old tractor you know.

"It starts alittle below the center"
It should start at 0 when the tractor is cold. Are you trusting a instrument that isn't correct?
