Hey,
On my parmak chargers, the fasteners for the fence and ground wires are wobblyand a PITA to use. Any tricks to tighten them up or just replace them with the older wing nut terminals like on the older ones?

Thanks, Dave

These new terminals have been trouble since they came out. They have been comming apart in side the charger. The first models had the ground terminal isolated from the case, now the terminal is connected to the case.I am close to banning Parmak from my shop.

I have soldered the nuts to the screws inside to keep them from falling apart. You could change to the old style terminals 4 bucks each now.

Is it hard to do? Is there a place I could order them online? I've got 3 chargers that are pretty much useless right now. My first one, a 11 year old 6v solar with shattered solar panel glass and wingnut terminals is the best working and reliable one I've got.

The magnum 12 has the case put together with hollow brass rivets that have to be destroyed to remove. Some have metal screws holding the case together.Parmak supplies the switch and knob only. The new hollow rivets are hard to set.I have a Parmak FM 2 in the shop now that is giving me fits.My testing says the power board is bad.The new board is nothing like the original board. The capacitor leads are too short and there is no hole in the circuit board for the capacitor mounting strap. If you have a US address I can send you the new wing nut terminals.4 bucks each.I have 6 on hand.I will be making a call to the Parmak service dept to day on the poor replacement circit board.Postage was so steep on my last book shipmet to Mexico I am only doing US orders now.
