[b:6cd60ae623]Theres a old Ford tractor with a backhoe and loader on it that is for sale. It was used by a septic company and has not been started in over 5 years. its an old non industrial blue and white. I dont know what the model is yet but i was looking for a base line price value.[/b:6cd60ae623]

Thats almost impossible to say. Scrap value. Engine frozen? Tires
dry rotted? model? are the cylinders rusted on the backhoe? etc etc
etc.

If you buy it for scrap price,if its "junk",you wont be out anything but your time .if it runs, you will will be ok.Remember the thing will be a 'bottomless'money pit.

its cylinders are in their sleeves so they wernt in the weather and the engine is free.cant tell the model and the tires hold air and have enough tread for me.

Untill you can hear it run and make sure its'sound',(hydralics not"gushing "oil;tranny/clutch,etc.)I'd stay with scrap price .

Blue and white paint does not make it a non industrial, I have a good friend that is in the plumbing business, he that has a industrial Ford Backhoe that is blue and white.

What transmission does it have? The fact it's been sitting for 5 years tells me that it probably has some pretty major problems or the company would have fixed it. Need a lot more information to give a value.

WHY not figure out what is is, THEN ask about value????????????

(Yeah, I KNOW that's a ridiculous concept!)

ome on Bob, be nice. He's been here only five weeks.

Base line price value would be Figuring a tractor 0f about 1960 and in working condition and with a hoe or anouther option would be if it had a loader. Now a general base line value would it be in the $3,000 or $12,000 range if it was in working condition or am I outside what could be a base line value that it would be instead at $15,000. And any nake model hoe to avoid. I think he could figure the difference for from good or junk for price but just what would a hoe of any make sell for? Never seen a hoe sell.

hank you leroy. I dont know the model because this is for an uncle who wanted some help on the price. I posted the information he told me. Its been sitting for so long because it was a small family run operation and when the dad died the son wasnt interested and so it was placed with other things in the backlot.
