(quoted from post at 20:12:18 08/08/11) From time to time there are nay sayers on this and other boards who question the resolve and dedication of the current generation, all I want to say is think about the 22 Navy Seals who were lost over the weekend and thank God for America again.
(quoted from post at 21:12:28 08/08/11) I'm a school teacher and I can tell to that the younger generation is, as a whole, just as good as gold. Different sure, but every generation is different. These kids are growing up in a world that no one could have imagined was coming. They will be just fine, and so will we.
38 folks died. 22 seals, 8 that were prolly the crew, a civilian interpreter, and 7 Afghan Commandos.(quoted from post at 20:12:18 08/08/11) From time to time there are nay sayers on this and other boards who question the resolve and dedication of the current generation, all I want to say is think about the 22 Navy Seals who were lost over the weekend and thank God for America again.
(quoted from post at 23:20:02 08/08/11) A bit ago a frequent poster referred to today"s military inductees as having no direction in their lives, thus opting for the service. How wrong he was. Each of these SEALS represented years of dedicated training, like all others in Special Ops. Terrible loss, hard to replace.
(quoted from post at 00:00:28 08/09/11) Since when is being a heavy equipment mechanic or working on the
farm flipping burgers?
(quoted from post at 00:11:40 08/09/11) Send me an email dave. Lets talk about this in private. please.
(quoted from post at 04:15:28 08/09/11) The real shame is their lives were lost in a War thats going nowhere and has become a total waste for the US and only kept going because the politicians can't figure out how to leave.

The problem with leaving is that the terrorist are not the NVA. The terrorist/taliban will claim a huge victory if we just up and leave and use it as a recrutiing tool.......that in turn will cause us more problems down the road. I don't think there is an easy solution at this point and time short of putting a small nuke in someplace.
And yea I'm one of those guys who served cause I'm a loser and had no direction in my life.........me thinks someone needs to get a grip!
