OT--No More Soliciting Phone Calls!!!!

After filing at least 15 DNC complaints against AIRC --with as many different numbers, call continued along with several other SCAMMERS. Phone Company couldn't stop them either-----These SCAMMERS are smarter then Phone company and DNC :twisted:

I [b:9ba2b042f2]dropped the Land line [/b:9ba2b042f2]and I haven't received a single call since :lol:
I am surviving quite well with cell phone, but I wonder how long it will be before they are allowed to abuse these. :!:

Now I wonder if there is a use for my phone line home wiring?? :?:

Hello Jiles,
Yes! You can use it as a dedicated fax or computer line.It should be cheaper that a voice land line.
Voip will give you your phone and number back.

Yep-do what we did. Get an X-Link box, plug into your house phone wiring and the 'Blue Tooth' that comes with your cell phone makes you house phones operate just as they did when you had a 'Land Line'. Did it 3 years ago and we're saving $35.00 a month. Long distance is 'free', included with the cell phone pkg.

Most cell phones are not that dependable,mine goes down a couple times a year.Also if you have to make a 911 call it could be routed a hundred miles from your house.If a tower has a problem your stuck with no phone at all.

I was getting spam cell text messages. Cancelled all texts on my cell. I got a few cell calls wanted me to lower my interest rates. I took the call, talked to a person and ripped him a new one. Never got another call.

We've got caller ID - I never answer a call I don't recognize. In my opinion its the greatest thing they ever invented for a phone. I still get the calls but they don't get answered.

Have cell phone but only for when on the road, everything is thru the land line. Cell is not dependable. On job I had I had to call 911 several times and even tho they are supposed to go to local sherifs office they do not. Got so first think I would say is this is for the Auglaize County Sherif and the Logan county that recieved the call would transfer mr to Auglaize Co. First inkiling something was wrong was when the dispatcher could not find the railroad and found out it was wrong county. Always say what jurdiction you want first with cell.

I'm getting to the point I don't take calls from cell phones. Typically hear 2 calls at once, fades in & out.

Then the other end typically is doing something else and not paying attention to me, even if they called me to start with. And then their battery goes low so it's a hassle.....

Not worth the hassle.

Cell phones aren't even safe anymore. Marilyn and I have shared minutes and both of us got a political call on our cell phones on Friday, That's a first!

Politicians have a bad name already. Why in the world do they even consider pestering people on their cell phones? Jim
