I was wondering how much corn and hay it takes to feed out a jersey calf and what weight is best to sell them at and how much time it takes ? thankyou John

If you are feeding out a Jersey Bull calf to sell then Sell it now and buy a better calf to feed. That Jersey will never bring you a very good price.

Now if you are going to use it your self they are not to bad of a meat animal. Some swear that the meat is sweeter. I never could taste it.

Still you are not going to make money feed out a Jersey calf.

I agree, sell the Jersey and get a beef breed. We have about 65 Jersey milk cows, and I get rid of the bulls as soon as I can. Takes too much feed to get too little meat, over too long a time ! Cross bred Jersey/Charlaes or Herford cross can be worthwhile.
