Over here, it seems the winds are not all that bad, rain is steady, we already had a power failure, not storm related, transformer failed at nearby substation, 2.5 hours without power, not too bad, though my solar back up power won't be complete til this week, do have 8500 watt standby generator ready as of yesterday, I'm hoping the winds stay the way they are and those trees stay upright. Usually when these kinds of storms pass thru, just a heavy rain event, she's takin it easy on us so far, well wait one second, there goes a loud boom I spoke too soon.... LOL !

Over here in southern Cayuga county about 1/2" rain so far- no big deal.
Actually the early AM storm Thur was a lot worse. Over an inch of rain all at once- it ran everywhere. Branches and wires down. Knocked out my junk phone line. I've had it. I just bought my first cell. phone. Now if I could only get that to work!
Over 6" rain so far this month, and we're still not too wet!(After no rain in July)

I'll bet we get at least 6" of rain or about that from what I am seeing, 3" already, but it looks like it is heading out and away, well our wells won't be running dry, though I had planned to plow up some patches for food plots, we'll see how that goes after this, but the soils do drain well enough, we shall see.

Tell you what, power was out, but that smart phone sure is a handy thing to have no doubt about it.

Well, I hope the boom doesn't affect you too bad. Over here in SE NH we are getting some fairly strong winds, enough to make you nervous driving. I just got back from checking on the church which I am responsible for, and covering two loads of hay that I have in an indoor riding arena. The roof there leaks, and even though I know where the leaks are, the owners haven't cared for it very well so it lost a sheet of roof in a wind storm a year and a half ago. Better safe than sorry. Some in town have lost power for awhile but we haven't yet here.

Well in Northern Neck of VA it was pretty bad. Power went of at 3:00 PM yesterday for almost all of the four county area. My generator is humming away but only powers refrig, freezer and a few small things. Area has lots of downed trees and our place had 12" of rain. Right now it is sunny but humid.

High winds and heavy rain here in schenectady co, there keeping a close watch on the gilboa dam, power out since 8.30am and many roads are closed,

Just got power back on ,been off from 1:20 yesturday. Got 15+ trees down road washed bad and one culvert plugged. No damage to house and barns.About 5and 1/2 inches rain+ the 2 1/4 the day before.

East Berne seems to have gotten 9" of rain, we may have 4" to 5" here. My basement is bone dry, concrete w/drains, gutters on the roof etc. but I just got back from helping the the neighbor across the street, had 4" of water in theirs from a foundation leak, (block). Ground is saturated, feels like spring thaw, out there.

Ya, it's pretty bad out there, Scoharie county has all there roads closed, middleburg is flooded and I think cows have been reported drowned. It's a real mess. Our rain gauge was full at 5 inches dumped it and 2 more in it.

Fogot the crop report. The corn looks like it would if you left it in the field till december, all the leaves shredded off and 25 to 30 % down.

Read that they had sunshine in western NY. Looked like it came about to the middle of the Finger Lakes and hit a wall.
