Had to cut grass with a scythe myself (The bad old days)

That would make me a LITTLE nervous. I think I'd want a seat belt. Fear of getting jarred out with my hands coming down in front of that thing.

What? Must be getting more experienced.

Next thing we know, you're gonna sell the farm and move south!

Made the mistake of telling the grand daughter the other day, right in front of the wife, that if she dies first,I'm going down there in the hills and find a widow with 40 acres and a mule. Didn't go over very good with the wife. She said WHAT,you have to wait for me to die before you'll go? Took a while to get through to her that all I meant was that none of there Oprah watching, credit card abusing women around here interest me. Didn't mean I was gonna wait to go without her.

How do they power the mower, run a belt around the drive shaft? lol
My BIL has one with the hydraulics and 3 pt hitch.

A couple of years ago PBS ran a program on the glory days of the drive-in theaters. There were several sequences that showed Jeeps with 3pt. and small front blades spreading gravel for the "humps" during their construction. Very versatile vehicles.

Willy's made a great deal of money during WWII and like most companies with military contracts thought that they would have at least another year or so of war. When we dropped the A bomb and ended the war much earlier than expected Willy's didn't have a lot to fall back on and spent a lot of time and money trying to make the Jeep more versatile making 3 points and so on trying to keep their sales up. I saw one here sell a few years ago with and compressor driven off of the PTO. The compressor itself was a Wisconsin V4 air cooled block that was a factory compressor designed for the construction industry large enough to run a jack hammer. Was a very interesting rig to see.
