OT: HF saw blade sharpner

Just had to try HF's blade sharpner. They had it on sale for $50 and I used A 20% OFF coupon. It worked far better than I expected. I sharpned enough blades that I could throw the sharpner away, go buy another and still be money ahead. What a surprise.

30+ years ago, I purshased a craftman radial arm saw and got 2 chrome-nickle-moly blades with it. No carbide tips. They cleaned up and work great. Wish I could find more old school blades. Doesn't take any time to sharpen blades.

The sharpner uses a diamond wheel and it will sharpen carbide tips too. $10 for replacement diamond wheel. They have diamond on both sides. I couldn't tell that I even used the diamond wheel. I give this tool a thumbs up.

I'm sure some of you will give HF a single finger up and it won't be a thumb:)

HF has come a long way and a lot of there stuff is better then craftsman and a LOT cheaper just about all my hand tools are HF and quality is better then most and warranty is 100% better then most. any tool with Pittsburgh on it is top shelf. ya they are made over the pond but whats not the last craftsman i bought were also and they were 4 times the price and poor quality as to finish

I recently bought two sets of combination wrenches from HF, SAE and Metric. Nice slick finish and appearance, precise fit on bolts, made in India.

And before I get jumped on about India, I may point out that some of the finest steel on Earth comes from India. I've read of steel statuary made in India that has existed two thousand years without a speck of rust.

I can verify about the statue. I have personally seen it.

There are plenty of good things that come out of India (including my wife).

Yes there is some shoddy stuff but I have a pretty rough 3/4 socket set that is made in USA. India is a land where people do amazing things with what is available to them.

Taps and dies, drill bits, lotsa stuff from
India, and Eastern Europe. I'm impressed with
the quality, endurance, and very reasonable
prices!
