Does anyone have the measurements for H brake linings. Width and thickness. Thank you. This seems to be a top secret spec.

I just take the band to the shop where i buy the linning they know what type is best and then have a pattern for the new stuff.

I have a chance to buy material and I need to know initial Speces. If I get the right lining I will be able to reline cheaper than buying band and all and also make a little on the side. Does not take very long to put linings on. Probably can do it for half or less of buying complete.

Just measure the width and length and get rivets should be it. You are correct its much cheaper to reline them yourself less then half of new ones.

Did some more digging and came up with four agreeing answers. Two inches wide, 3/16 inches thick. length is about 26 inches. Really does not matter on length, you buy lining in a roll to begin with.
