ago to day we became 'empty nesters'.Our son left home to be come a US Navy sailor. We miss him yet we are very proud parents.Where does the time go?....

Ya know how it is. My son is home on leave right now and he has been in just under 2 years as of right now. He will be heading back to Gulfport MS on the 1sts of Oct

Yep. Know what ya mean. Son left labor day for san diego for marines. Gets thru in dec. Then on to some more training somewhere else. But couple months before wife of 25 years passed after short bout with cancer. It was a shaky marrige but tried to make best of it. So making best of it by trying to get somethings been putting off done. Yes I do appreciate all the condolances but life goes on.

Time just seems to fly by now. My oldest is 43 years old. My first wife has been gone now for 16 years. In my mind just yesterday we where getting married. I have two Grand sons in the service. It worries me that they are in a world that is even worst than the one I served in thirty years ago.

It really don't seem that long ago that we had our first or me joining the Army. Or that our youngest son shipped off to the Navy, he did 4 years and is now a worker/student and US Army National Guard.

But yea where the times goes is astounds me......been married almost 38 years.

As for my wife & I we became empty nester"s
the 1st of Sept. My Son went to College. I
know that isn"t exactly empty nester yet, but
my Wife & I are adjusting, or trying too.
I also found out my oldest daughter is pregnant
So now we are praying for 10 fingers & 10 toes
on out 1st grand child.. I am sure the way time
fly"s it will seem like a yesterday will be 10
years down the road.....
