Local farmer missing

He has been missing for several days now and all they know is that they found his Pickup setting in one of his away fields and no sign of him . This is about 8-10 miles south of me Sorta strange also as up in Youngstown there is a Business owner that is also missing and they found his SUV under the Market street bridge but not him and both with in a few days of each other.

Hopefully, the farmer is alright and maybe needed to get away from something that was bothering him. Maybe since it was at one of his fields that something health related happened and he was incapacitated as far as returning to the truck. Far more likely is something criminal happened to him. The rural ares are far more rougher than they were than ten or twenty years ago. Most of that is due to the drug trade. Around here we are seeing far more break-ins in the last five to ten years than all the years previous. Most of the break-ins are related to addicts finding money to support their habit. What little I have seen on television seems to indicate the gangs that distribute drugs are more willing to engage in other crimes to supplement income such as burglary and kidnapping. I think people need to start being mindful when they are out and about if other people appear to be casing them and have a plan to deal with it. Not that I worry about criminal activity when I am out but I do tell family where I am at in case I am walking a field and I twist a leg or something and have an issue with the cell phone such as getting a signal.

What Town & State are you in ?It might be help full in locating them or if any one on here near there see"s any thing that just don"t look right. Like being watched or followed by strange car"s trucks or a foot.watched from a distance [road ,wood "s road side ]Wood of though DON"T TRUST STRANGER"S !!!Drug growers Dealers,Transporters Will Take on Any one Don"t Trust even a flat tire deal along the road or They come to your House or other Buildings.they want to get you alone so as to get a upper hand.They may may not mean any harm But you are a lone. 1 on 1or worse 1 or several in the night you are even worse off ,you might only see 1 !!!!WATCH FOR OUT OF STATE PLATES

i use to farm ground about three miles south of where they found his truck. While at the farm i NEVER was with out a side arm and my socalled VARMINT rifle in the gun rack on the left fender . There were four times that i had to convince someone that they were not welcome . Since people can not read NO trespassing signs we moved on to signs that read , TO THIEVES LOOTERS AND TRESPASSERS OR TO HUME IT MY CONCERN BEWARE OF FLYING OBJECT THEY JUST MAYBE BULLETS then we added silowet with a doze or so rounds thru the kill zones. Not sure if that was what started keeping unwanted people out or the roomer about this Crazed Viet Nam vet running around in camos and a MACHINE GUN . One neighbor farmer and i were talking across the line fence when he asked me if i had heard a lot of shooting over by the bridge and when i asked Harold why he said that it sounded like someone had a machine gun . I just turned and walked over to the 706 and pulled my VARMINT rifle out and showed him . He asked why i had that and i told him that IF i missed with the first shot i had 29 more to chase it to it's hole.

One was in Youngstown Ohio And the missing farmer was about 9-10 miles south of Salem Ohio, west of Lisbon about 5-6 miles Yes it is getting bad and has been for years. I have had my fair share of this when i was farming some ground just south of where this happened and one time it was with some hard core shell we say CASH CROP growers that decided to ah shell we say share crop some of my ground . That did not end well for them . There pistola's where no match for 56 grain 5.56 at over 400 yards .

Call the Civil Air Patrol at once and have them overfly the area. He might be down and really needing some help. They are available and willing to help. All you have to do is ask.

Only problem with a sign like that is if you do end up shooting someone. It could easily go from self defense to attempted murder with a single picture being taken of that sign and included in the file.

My brother caught a guy breaking into his truck and beat the everlasting *ell out of him. Two months later he was charged with aggravated assault. A deputy took a picture of a his bumper sticker that proclaimed "There is nothing in the truck worth getting killed over". The prosecutor thought he'd make a name for himself by going after proud redneck behavior. Eventually he beat the charges but it costed him plenty in legal fees.

They don't really sond like that hard core to me. In the west side of wisconsin 2 years ago, police raided a pot growing opperation in a state forest. caught most all of them working the crop and forgetting to post guards. when all were safely in cuffs, they found uzis' colt ar-15s' and a 50 cal sniper rifle. If they are really hard core, and have been in it a while, they can afford the arrmient. if you can prove what's going on, call in the state police and let them shoot it out.

This is the first I have heard about this. Lisbon/Rogers area is hilly and lots of woods/rocks/etc... I will have to check that out. I live about 40 minutes away from that area. Sounds very strange...

I think everyone should carry a gun at all times. It is time that the victims have more rights than the criminals again. We have been so backwards with all teh free loving, tree hugging, baby seal helping hippies. I don't want to save teh whales and give prisoners cable TV. I want to eat teh whales, use their fat for diesel fuel, and make the prisoners stamp license plates again. What is wrong with this country? We care more about getting sued than we care about saving our own life? So disgusting it makes me sick...
