1957/1958 Ford Dexter Diesel Tractor

I have 1957/1958 Ford Dexter Diesel Tractor, 3 cylinder, My problem: the RPM goes up and down when running. I have changed the fuel filter, bled fuel lines of air and it still runs up and down. What do I need to do to correct the problem?

In case you need Google to help with your problem, just remember Dexters are cattle, Dexta is the tractor.

those tractors are more common on this side of the pond. Your problem is probably general to diesels anyway and may be answered by someone here (murn ga prolly already hit it) that knows a little more than how to spell....

You'll notice that I have a very limited "people skills" disability- its not even spelling in general (God knows there would be plenty of opportunity for that on here), just when someone is trying to find out information about a specific item, and can't spell it. That's pretty basic stuff, right there. Seems like if have a Kabota or a Dexter, or even a LeRio, you could figure out the spelling before you begin your grand quest for knowledge. Google would thank you, as well.

And you'll notice, Dave2, I don't even rise the bait on some of your cockamamee (sp) stuff on here. . . I call that real restraint!
