Started to do my fall plowing. I used a 810 volvo and a 10 foot chisel plow. After all the rain we had this summer the ground is still bone dry.

Lyle; Are the winters up there extreme for temperature and snow fall? Your pictures show a dismal weather scene.Dark and heavy overcast skies,Almost looks cold. Are you right on the Ag.line for your part of the world. I was near the border in northern North Dakato one time and small grains were the only crops they could plant, corn would not mature, lots of rocks in ND but your ground appears to be comparatively rock free.JH

Hi john, you never know what the winters are going to be like up here, there has been some years where I only had to plow the snow off the drive way once all winter. On other years you seem to be plowing snow all the time. As far as the temp, same thing, it can be cold as heck then the next day it could be raining and melting.
The farm land goes a quite a bit further north then where I am, I am in the south peace region of alberta.
There are not many rocks around here, but I have seen a few quarter sections not to far north of me where you could walk across it without stepping on any dirt.
Hope I answered your questions, fell free to ask any thing more, If I dont know the correct answer I can always BS ya a little...LOL...Lyle
