Probably really doesn't matter these days. I'd just get the cheapest that carries a lifetime warrenty and put them on.....Better yet, just tell me where to come pick that old junk car up.....

Haha! 390, auto, 4 door, factory air, 69,756 orig
miles, never been rusted, has original exhaust on
it yet!

The Galaxie is a nice looking car. A lot more class than the boxes they build today. I've never been able to tell any difference in shocks. I just use what ever is on sale.

I have bilstein monotube shocks on just about everything I own that requires shocks and I like them. They ride good and last a good long while.

Cheapo twin and triple tube shocks fade quickly and generally are shot within a year or so.

I use the Monroe Sensa trac struts and shocks on my Cougar. I had a 1963 Mercury with the 390 engine and Breezeway rear window. Drove it to FL in 1967. Hal

4 Year old grandson started school ( Daycare ) this past summer, he was outside and had to take a leak, he got in trouble.

Some how this posted on here i thought it was the post below (O/T Hanging around grandpa too much)
sorry still don't know what happened

had a 63 myself years ago, being that it is a heavy car, put on the new gas charged shocks, they will make it ride smooooth,,,the pic looks good, spend your money on a good name brand...my
$.02

Take the Monroe part number from Rockauto and plug it into amazon.com. Same price, free shipping on my struts. Saved me a few bucks...

Aaron

I'd go with Monroes with a lifetime warranty. Never had any trouble getting the warranty honored, even after 10 years and 100,000 miles. Good shocks too.
