Does anyone know if the fluted downspout pipes and round-bottom galvanized gutters are still being manufactured? Thanks, Fritz

Yes, but you won"t get them at Lowes, Menards or Home Depot. You need to go to a real, independent lumber yard. May need to order.

Yes, That's what i have on my house. I ordered them from classicgutters.com. They are a little pricey, but I built a colonial, and wanted somthing better looking. The gutters are supported by nice cast brackets. I bought whtie, but if you hit the lottery, they have copper.

I worked for a roofing company in the late sixties. We installed a lot of galvanized half round gutters in old Louisville. I think they came in eight or ten foot lengths and were made on an apron brake in the shop. We had hot pots with charcoal to heat the big irons and soldered the gutters and downspouts together. I think I may still have an iron in the garage. The solder was a big stick of 50/50 I think. Boy, those were the days. Cornice tin work was soldered, too.
