o/t simple pleasures

bought some apples at the produce market,made some apple butter one night last week and peeled a bunch of them early this morning. My wife made a pie and took it out of the oven early this morning, It sure is nice to smell a pie baking early in the morning, I really like these simple pleasures,and I think most of the people on this site do too, That is what makes this site so great,I think many of us have a lot of things in common,it may have started with the love of tractors,but it goes way further than that.
I am glad to have found this site and participate in it.

Apple butter is the universal condiment. I love it on biscuits, ice cream, with peanut butter, on celery, or just spooned out and eaten.

Yep Larry! I know what you mean and I agree.
Made a Mince Meat Pie the other night and have enjoyed it all week! From making it to baking it all the way to the last bites. Even the cats liked it for a taste of whipped cream!

Pulled up that picture of the pie 3 times already today. Finally couldn't take it any more and went to the store and bought a pie. Can't believe a person could do that to another human being. Ellis

We put up about 110 quarts of applesauce from our trees every year. I always think there'll be some left by next year, but there never is. I think the kids have been raiding the root cellar.

I am definatly fat enough! The wife makes the pie with not much sugar,it tastes real natural,we dont like them made with a lot of sugar, (but I do like ice cream)
