what are these called???

Dave,

They"re known as walterscheid balls, (same company that makes PTO shafts... German i think originally, now owned by GKN... Nearly all European tractors use them for 3 point hit systems... you can hook up without leaving the cab! Been around for years... try any farm supply place on your side of the pond. Only place i"ve seen them here is on front end 3 point hitch systems with rigid arms...

(quoted from post at 11:42:26 12/27/11) Thought I'd try looking/ordering a pair of these quick hooks or a set if possible from the States cause they are pretty proud of them here... Can someone tell me what they are called and maybe point me to an online source please? does TSC sell them?

Thanks, Dave

Northern Tool has a similar system without balls.

All over ebay here and at a store I'm gettin ready to buy some stuff from. Just thought they might be cheaper over there... Guess I'll just spring for them here, cheaper than the northern tool setup anyway.....

Thanks....

Dave a word of caution ( you may even have alread thought it) Depending on the implment you might have to extend the pto shaft. I did not look up the quick hitch but most move the hitch location back by some two inches or so. If you have a pto implment that the overlap on the shaft was already close that two inches can be a problem.. Good luck and keep us going over there in your country. Read most all your post.

The ones I see here will be the same length cause you cut the eyes off and weld these on... PTO shouldn't be a problem, but I'll look out for it....

Have a HF fast hitch that I like, but doesn't adapt to everything and I'm getting too lazy to swap back and forth and real tired of wrestling the ones that I have to hook up the oldfashioned way.....

I know this may sound ignorant, but each time I've been to Europe I notice that not many American tractors are used. I realize that a few big names from America are there, but I see a lot of local tractor companies. I assume that the Porche tractor is made by the same company that the car is made by. If you get an American quick connecting hitch will it fit with a Eropean tractor? I don't pressume to already know, but, it doesn't seem as if it would.

Kat I,II, and III are still the same... What I was looking for is if the weld on ends that are available here would be available in the States cheaper... They aren't tho......

Throw that disclaimer out there......... I've only seen 3PH that all looked/worked the same from tractor to tractor... Older stuff could have been different... Only thing I've seen the hitches that plug in like the farmall fast hitches I've seen on here were on the little 2 wheel walk behinds and the smaller (yard tractor?) sizes........
