I think the cat in the last picture is resembling what I would have felt like doing in my shorts if it was me.

Vito

Don't feel bad I kinda had the same experience with one of my old crew cab duallys. Went out and started it in the morning went back in to make sure the fire in the wood stove was good came back 20min later truck gone! What the F@#$ WHERE THE HE!! IS MY TRUCK!!!!!. Stopped to gather my thoughts and hey what's that sound ? Sounds like my truck went around the corrner of the house well there it was in all its glory setting in the swamp running water up to the rear tires!!!!!!! Well now what so I jumped in put it in gear and to my suprize it drove right out. Come to find out the park detent in the trans failed and jumped into reverse and went for a swim!

One of my wife's brothers had a Dodge Dakota pickup with an aftermarket remote start installed.

He has a two stall detached garage about 20 feet from his house, so one cold morning he just stuck his hand out the front door and hit the remote start button.

Seems the shifter hadn't quite clicked over from "Reverse" into "Park". The pickup started up and backed out right through the garage door. The pickup finally stalled when it backed into a light pole across the street.

I would assume a factory installed remote start would not start unless it was solidly into "Park".

This Ford went to town,The Dodge stayed home....BTW,My wife reminded that this is the second time that this 'event' has happened in 2 weeks. You guys think I should get my head out....?

If that ol blue GMC was sitting in my yard it would be just fine,,,,
And Please dont tell me its a 61,,,,V8....4 on the floor & a 5th under the seat

The "jimmy" was my late father's.the only vehicle he ever bought that was brand new-it was custom ordered/built at that.Dad's been gone for about 6 years.

Somebody tell cat that he's supposed to dig a hole first. Just sad- nobody takes pride in their work anymore.

I guess there is no brand loyalty at your place. I suppose you have red, green, blue and orange paint in the machine shed.

Hay Red, Is that a 72?
I am in the process of stripping a 72 sport custom 3/4 ton with a 1 tone rear axle and a 360 that still gets 18 miles to the gallon and the factory seals are still on the carb after 568,000 miles. You cant beat the old ones. I get 18 miles to the gallon with a 2003 Tacoma with a V 6 in it and they say that"s good. I have to ask, Have we really made that much progress?

Leave the cat alone. He's the only one expressing a honest opinion on this thread---

1970 F-100.302,4sp.145,000 miles.owned it about 15 years.One he!! of a good truck.Probably never sell it.

Actually I prefer the (older) Fords. The Dodge was cheap(kinda fell into it).Had the old blue chevy grain truck for over 30 years. The 66 jimmy Inherited upon my fathers death 6 years ago.(I really dont care much for it,though)

All this talk about trucks motoring around at their choosing is libal to give car thieves an idea for excuse when sheriff finds stolen trucks in his yard. "Beats me owcifer,I just looked up and here it came down the road and turned in to my drive". Don't believe me? Axe them fellers on YT bout trucks running off from home.
