Making the dog earn her keep

They're good for entertainment.
My little dog is getting old now but she's still able to learn new tricks if you use her food to teach her. Almost every day I make her learn something new by putting her supper in some place that it's hard for her to get at. Up high so she has to climb, under a box so she has to figure out how to turn the box over, under a rug, etc, etc.
Yesterday we once again tried something new.
Keeps her sharp and me entertained...

Ultradog,

That's way cute. Thanks for the video. My boxer (Mollie Lou) is almost 11 years old. She takes heart medicine and has developed hip problems in the last two or three months.

However, since she was a pup she has "helped" me feed the livestock in the morning. She isn't as quick as she used to be. She sometimes loses her balance and falls over, but she's as faithful as ever. I just smile every time I see her.

Dogs are a great blessing.

I wouldn't have a shoe left if I tried that with Heidi! As much as the boys and I like her, we're ready for her to outgrow the puppy stage. A 75 pound puppy can make a mess of just about anything in short order. She IS getting pretty good about helping with the cows. Haven't tried taking her grouse hunting yet to see if she's any good at finding them like the last one was.

My boxers are with me most of the day. It's like having a couple of clowns around all day!!!
