How do you search the archives?

Dates don't search in the archives, but if you know who posted the message, find a recent post by that person. Then in "modern view", click on the person's profile, then click on "find all posts" from that person. At the bottom of the page there will be an option to go to the "next" page, or to, say, page 200 or so. By reading the dates you can usually go back an forth a few times and zero in on your quest. That's how I do it anyway. Might want to ask on "Site Comments" forum for a better answer.

I don't know the author of the post. I know the date and the person who responded to the post. I tried to do a research the author of the response and came up with nothing. So, how to I get back to 9-30-2010?

OK, you know the person who responded to the post. Can you find a recent post from that person? If so, click "find all posts", as I said before, for that person. Or give me the name, and subject of the post and see if I can find it.

Charlie it is easier than that. Look at the top of this page. Before you open any posts. There is a box that says "search for" in front of it. Just type in a few words and a person name that was in the post and you get post to choose from.

You will have to go back to the home page of Tractor Talk to see this box.
