I've taken this tractor(?)to several local shows.it always has lots of people crouded around, pointing fingers, takeing pics, asking questions, etc.they walk right past the restored one to look at mine...This thing will continue to 'attend' shows.1937 F-12(reversed),repowered with jeep engine,Lion loader from a WC Allis.....Steve

The off-beat stuff always gets more looks. I have a sectioned '48 Hudson coupe, and it always draws a crowd. If everyone who says their uncle had one was telling the truth, the outfit would still be in business. I was between a '68 Chevelle (which eventually won Best in Show) and a '69 Camaro at one show, and folks would walk right by them to look at mine (which isn't nearly as nice, but its "interesting"- an old-timey custom car, in addition to the rarity of Hudsons in general).

The Chebby guys didn't seem amused, so of course I didn't say anything- but one of them came over as we were all packing up to leave- smiled and said "Note to self- don't park next to the hot rod Hudson next time." I was able to stifle myself from saying what another guy had actually said to me on the subject once- "How many tricked-out Chevelles do we actually have to see in a day?"

They don't have to be pretty to be attractive. I marvel at the challenges of the past to build the equipment we have today. That one has so much history.... Wish it could talk and meet some of the guys that run it when it was new.

Theres a lot of people that complain about my 1928 Farmall Reg,its all orginial but has no paint,More people look at it than all the show tractors. Our local news paper loves it

Steve This brings back memory's I Traveled for New Idea Farm Equipment back in the late 40s early 50s Wemt out into Sand Hills of Nebraska. They were using all types of Sweep Rakes. some pulled by horses a lot on the back of old cars, Truck, Tractors and then to them moving stacks down the highway with cables.Nothing like blazing down the highway and all of a sudden there is a a slow moving stack of hay. getrib

I always look at the "oddballs". I can only walk down so many rows looking at the same JD As and Bs, AC WCs, WDs, and on and on, that look like they have 3 coats of wax.

I look at the orchard models, crawlers, and the tractors with the unique attachments. Nothing wrong with a show tractor, but I don't need to see 50 of an identical model. I grew out of that after 1 show. I prefer a working tractor.

Its the ones like this you don't see, there ought to be a category for it, I too like the oddball stuff, fun to see modifications and things fabricated, usually done for a purpose, like yours, you would not be without it would ya ? LOL !

Steve - My ugly old Minnie-Mo snow pusher was voted "best in show" at a local event several years ago. It drew more interest than the 100+ other, mostly restored, tractors at the show.

Nice looking old F-12/Jeep/Lion you've got there! I notice it's also equipped with a 70's era Chrysler alternator...

Have a Cockshutt 30 reversed with loader, also had a 7 foot homemade mower deck that fit into cultivator brackets when I had a large yard to mow. Tractor runs on LP, is still unpainted, but still goes to Cockshutt and CO-OP shows as is. Hope to paint it if I can ever retire and have time.

Nice useful loader, like to see the unique things. That's one reason I like oddball crawlers. Respect the dedication, hours and money put into some restorations, but not my cup of tea. To each, his own.

Just a non-deere tractor. But what is that Deere combine in the background, that's what caught my attention.LOL Sorry, the tractors is ok,but tell me more about the combine. We have two 95 squarebacks and I am always interested in old Deere combines.

Thanks! While it's not much to look at, the old UTU starts and runs great. And it does a fine job pushing snow.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder(!)

45 squareback(x2).one is parts, the other(good one) is my user.it has factory cab,10 platform/'Hume'reel,and 313 cornhead.Great little machine!!!Also have an old roundback 55 that I'm fixing up to use.The red '66 C50 truck got sold last year. The 6600 in the first pic was a gift("get it the he!! out of my yard"),later sold it for $400 to a pinto bean grower.Steve

Here is one I took to a local show, and it might as well been the only tractor there. The next time I take it anywhere, I will put the story on paper and let them read it. I will have this one at the 2013 RPRU at Lima Ohio.
