Americana 1939 - 1943

Thanks for shareing. Excellent look into the past, it is like traveling back in time seeing those in color. This world would be greatly improved if we moved back to simpler means on many levels. Hard work and God fearing morals cannot be topped.
 
Minnesota just put up a web site that has arial photos of much of the state, some from 1938/39, and 1955. Really cool to look back at your property from back then, how things have changed - and how they have stayed the same.

Really enjoyed the shots of the Chicago & Northwestern Proviso R R yards. I grew up 20 miles from there& traveled by them many times in the 40 s & 50 s. The pictures look just like I remember the place. Thanks for the memories . clint
 
Very Nice pictures. Having lived in Connecticut Stonington, CT looks about the same today as it did back then, minor variations of course.
