Big party and parade day here...Yesterday was more fun for the older folks. I walked down the street 75 meters and indulged in some nice music and free beer after they woke me up with the driveby floats and music.....

Always makes me miss my folks. Every Fat Tuesday we'd make flannel cakes (oatmeal pancakes) with sausage patties and applesauce. Sour cream if you want it. Don't have any idea where or how the tradition started, but I miss it.
