2750 Wiring Diagram

My neighbor has a 2WD open station 2750 that most likely a short is wearing down the batteries. Does any one have a wiring diagram that they can share with me?

He thinks the problem is with the headlights, if anyone has any thoughts it would be appreciated.

There is a wiring diagram of sorts in the parts section of the JD web site. The real wiring diagram would be in the service manual from 1-800-522-7448. Being just an open station tractor there shouldn't be too much that can't be hand traced and checked with a multimeter. On occasion a diode can fail in the alternator and drain a battery. How long does it take? Minutes, hours or days?

I find it hard to believe it's the headlamp wiring draining the battery if the headlight switch is turned off. I agree with b&d I think it's the alternator draining the battery. Simple diagnosis is to insert a test light in the battery ground cable circuit ans start by disconnecting alternator. When test light goes out you've found the short to ground.

Go to Walmart and get a battery disconect switch. All my tractors have one so they don't get a short and set the barn on fire. They are only 3 dollers and are the best insurance you can get.
