Used Tractor Parts Freight Class?

It depends on what the part is. Things light and bulky like hoods have a much differant class than say engine blocks.
You can pretty much use the auto parts class for tractor parts.

Engines, automobile or tractor in boxes or crates NMFC # 120790.2 Class 70

Transmissions or clutches in boxes or crates NMFC # 19940 Class 85

i shipped a 105 pound pto gearbox set up through ups. cost about 100 to ship once all the fees and packaging was cover. took in to a staples store because ups picks up there. i put it in my own box and they bubble wraped it. they ship up to 150 pounds then it goes to fright if its over that or something like that.

Do you know the size (on and including the pallet) and the weight??
Figure the lbs per cubic ft and you can get a pretty good idea from this chart.

Operated a salvage yard for several years and always used class 70 on everything. Can,t ever remember having anything reclasified but had a lot of thing reweighed.
