Pickers Warehouse

Any of you ever gone to that shop pickers warehouse site? Only a few items that say "replica",but the prices actually seem low compaired to what they appear to pay for things on the show. Not a whole big variety, about 4 pages, but some interesting signs cheaper than I'd have thought,if they're original.

I think every thing there is a reproduction are we on the same site?

Ya. The only thing that looks like it might be original are the Route 66 signs with the bullet holes in them. There's an old red STOP sign that has a higher price than the Sinclair Dino sign right beside it. Makes me wonder about the Sinclair sign. Seems low if it is original, but it doesn't say that it's not. Buyer beware I guess.

There is another show on now called "diggers", they use metal detector to find their junk. They were at a civil war battle ground, one guy dug up a bullet that had hit something and flatten it. They said it was worth I believe $15,00. The other guy dug up another bullet, it had missed hitting anything when it was shot and landed in good condition and it was worth $30,00 bucks. It wasn't the condition of either bullet that dictated their price, It was "which side fired them", one was fired by the "north" and the other by the "south". They both looked to be 50 caliber, one guy said he thought they were 60 caliber. I don't remember which bullet was fired by which side, I changed channels and told the wife it's another show in the same category as the repo shows.

Red.. Thats kinda interesting about the bullets...I don't know but back in the 80s my folks were touring that part of the country and they bot 2 bullets and a round led ball at a shop...they were told one was from the north and i think the slightly bigger from the south...They were covered with clay or dirt...dont know if they are real or not ...dont know what they paid but i know it was not a lot....I always thot they were real but dont know....just know the locals said they were still finding them....Is it possible i just won the mother load....LOL

Northern service rifle was .58 caliber. Southern rifles were usually .58 caliber, but the South smuggled in a lot of guns from England and I don't know what they had. Interestingly enough the South got in some English Whitworth taget rifles the used for sniper rifles.
