Where do you find the model number on a Marvel-Schebler?

My 1958 641 has a Marvel-Schebler carburetor. I'm pulling it off tonight and was wondering where the numbers are to identify it?

I assume it's a tsx 765 but I want to be sure.

Round brass tag riveted on the upper air horn housing. If it"s missing, you can go by application.

Should have a brass tag on it. Most are such that with it one the tractor you can not see it but once pulled you turn it 180 so you see what would be the back side and you should see it unless of course it fell off. My self I use Walker brand carb kits and they are made such that they work on a number of carbs. M/S for the most part have only 4 sizes of carb. Small to X-large and that one will be a medium

I've had mine off once but I never saw a tag.

I was hoping to get a "basic" kit at TSC. I looked at the kits and none of them say they are for a tsx765 .

On most carbs the tag is close to the area that is the back side of the Choke shaft area. It is a brass tag that is easy to miss if you do not look close or have the area clean. Me I buy my kits from O'Reilly's auto parts stores Walker brand and they cost around $20 and pretty much all the common parts needed plus a few extras

If you can't find a tag,The NAPA catalog lists
kits by engine application. (NAPA has kits for
Virtually every "Wisconsin Air Cooled" engine
listed by engine model number)
