It's been 45 years since I walked down the isle with my wife. Still together, still very much in love. She's my best friend.

Today marks the one hundred eleventh anniversary of my grandfather and grandmother buying the home farm that I now own and live on (sometimes). My grandfather made a joking matter of "started farming on April Fools Day", but it looks like some of you guys started your marriages on April Fools Day. Well,,,you have to start somewhere.

39 years yesterday and still going strong on #1. Both healthy and keep learning everyday in this schoolhouse called LIFE.

That's 59 years for us. We went to school together, but graduated from different high schools about 5 miles apart. I guess it started when I asked her to attend my senior prom. We were married when I was in the Army during the Korean War. Our daughter was born at Ft Bragg NC. Here's a picture taken in 1956 about a year after I was discharged. Hal

Thanks for the nice comments here's a picture taken in 2007 of us and our daughter while in Florida attending a memorial service for my late brother-in-law. It was hot as blazes down there in August. He was a WW2 Navy vet and they had an honor guard there. His wife is my wife's older sister and she won every track meet when in high school and she was good looking too. Hal

You too?!
Our unofficial/official anniversary is today - 23 yrs ago was our first date on April 1. Was also supposed to be our wedding day several years later, but her sister was due on the 2nd, so we had to push the wedding back til May (how those 2 events affect each other, I"m still not clear....). But we still celebrate today.

Good news is, she"s still with me - that woman"s a saint.

Congratulations!
