Planted Corn Today

Planted Corn Today! This is the earliest I can remember planting corn. The ground is warm and dry. No-Tilled it at 30000 kernels to the acre. Going to spray it tomorrow before it rains, maybe it will hold off a day or two. Located in south-eastern Illinois. We could have planted a week ago. I did plant 5 rows of sweet-corn. Vic

Heard of a guy by Yankton SD that thas corn about 3" tall already. WAY to soon for South Dakota. Forcast calls for mid to low 30's for lows early next week.

There's guys starting here this week. We've had frost as late as April 20th, and the way the weather has been bouncing all over the place, I can wait a little bit.

Planted some more today. Going to quit for a while, see what this front amounts to. You guys are right anything can happen with this weather. But this far south it shouldn't freeze again. Vic
