You will enjoy that tractor. I have a 4020 Diesel PS, 1967. I'm the second owner, having bought it from a retired farmer about 25 years ago. Used mostly for loader work.

It is a family tractor, that i grew up using. My dad passed about 10 years ago, and finally talked my mother into giving it to me

Looks like it is in very good condition. Don't blame you for wanting to bring it home and keeping it in the family. When my dad sold the farm he sold all his equipment before I knew anything about it. When I mentioned that I would have liked to have had a couple pieces of the equipment, he said, Well, I didn't think you would want any of that old stuff. Which was exactly why I wanted it, because it was old.

I had that same problem last fall- got this '68 from my BIL. Notice that little hole behind the block heater and the rod cap laying on the frame? There's two more holes like it on the other side. Major catastrophic engine failure. I'll have the good motor in it soon- maybe we'll let the two tractors get aquainted at the fall plow day?

Nice catch. Spent a lot of time on Leonard"s 4020 back in the 70"s. Enjoy!

PS: Don"t mind Super 99 - Kinda think I remember he has some of the "other" green in his stable too.

I came home from vacation a few years ago and there was an extra tractor there that someone had dropped off. They probably thought that I wouldn't notice. I found someone else to pawn it off onto.

I am too, Thank you. The first thing i did when i got it home was to pass it along to my helper(son) reserving the right to use it!
