I believe you posted a pic of your tiller the other day and I believe it is the same model as mine. Well today trying to play catch up.. I ripped reverse out of it.
Do you have a manual for the part # for this wheel that broke also , Is the bottom drive wheel supposed to have some kind of coating for better grip ? mine is bare metal. also the number of the belts would help Thx in advance.

I believe them reverse pulleys are a standard item and should be easy to get at a dealer. I think they are all the same part on the horse model. I got tired of paying 20 bucks for the drive belt at the dealer. I have had good luck with the green belts at TSC. I have a HP troy-bilt I brought new in 1977. I'm on my second engine and I think I replaced that pulley once years ago. I have been through allot of them belts though, they stretch out.

Old Roy, I Just replaced my belt on our old horse model. Part #9245 0310 for the belt. The pully, all I came up with is #1072. I`ve got a bit of info but its in My Docs, didn`t show where(website name). I "think" its mtd that bought TB. I`ll BET El Toro will have the answer in a bit! Cain`t believe theres Still color in that photo that he`s posted NUMerous times down in garden tractors...LOL! IF, no responce, I`d go down there!...HTH`s....GAS

I bought this machine last year, and I have ran others before , but I don't remember them making a loud squealing sound when you back up. this one was like it may been slipping??? that is why I ask if the bottom groove it runs in should have a coating of some sort.

When it broke the piece laying on the gas tank took out the back belt... still running on One.

If your tiller has one belt the part number is 9245, but I don't those belts. I use a Gates Greenstripe belt p/n 6822. They will last a long
time when engaging and disengaging the clutch and tines. The p/n on the reverse disc is 1919. Here's a copy of that page from my manual.

I use this hiller/furrower when making a furrow for my potatoes. It came as a packaged deal on Troy Bilt's 25th anniversary in 1991. It was a black tiller. I sold it for more than I paid and bought another new tiller. I kept the hiller/furrower. It can also be used to hill the potatoes. It has two pieces of metal that bolt on when hilling. Hal

Thanks Hal ! Mine is actually the two belt.
I just did another pass tonight in new ground trying to break up a very heavy clay dirt mixture

Supposed to rain tonight, I'll rake off the small sod and add good old cow dung and till it again if the belt holds up.. hate to tear it down just yet so close done with it for awhile. I can get by without reverse aint that heavy to drag if needed
