OT:Dad Had Another Stroke

Dad had His 3rd stroke a year ago this month.Up to this point he has recovered from them except for his speech being hard to understand.He fell and broke his hip several months ago.He and Mom have been living with us since getting out of Rehab facility. 3days ago he got up from his chair by himself and with a walker made it to the bed. Next morning gets up and back to chair alone.I'm thinking he will soon be strong enough to go home like He wants to. He sat their and had another stroke.Now back in Hospital and very confused.Until now His mind has remained sharp. Appreciate your prayers.

Sorry to hear about your dad. My late brother had his first stroke in 1997. He was out raking leaves and I gave him heck and told him to get wife No5 to rake them. Later that year he had another severe stroke. I went to see him in the hospital in Delaware I told my sister he probably wouldn't survive. Wife No5 kept him on life support so she could collect retirement and SS for about 3 months. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and died in a VA hospital. Our dad wanted us to stay on the farm, but I was drafted into the Army. Hal

Thank You All. Dad is doing better this afternoon. Not nearly as confused and seems to be stronger on left side. Your prayers are being answered. Thank You again.
