Hi-pressure grease gun options

The time has come for a high pressure grease gun for a few difficult pins, plus a spare gun can"t hurt.

I have looked at the Lincoln 1147/1148. Specs say 10,000 psi. Full stroke is low pressure, half stroke is high pressure. Wondered if anyone had experience with these and if they work as Lincoln says. Retail around $40 Open to other suggestions.

I don"t need pneumatic or battery since I don"t have enough equipment to justify one.

Rick, I have some 1134's, which are the extra heavy duty pistol grip rated for 7500 psi, and they are top notch. I don't use lever type grease guns, but you're on the right track. If that gun won't grease it, nothing will, and it's disassembly time. I can't find any other brand that's any good-manual or electric. Good luck!
 
I have a bunch of 1142s(1148 without the rubber on the handle). Picked them up off eBay last year for $15 each. They were a couple year old NOS, have some 100th??? anniversary print on them.

Best gun I have ever owned. They still won't push grease through a broken or dirty zerk. I have ruined a couple of the couplers trying too hard(several 100 pounds of force on the lever).

Looks like I go after the lincoln.


Took me a while to get back, been without power for the last 24 hours, keeping the generator full and the sump pump empty.
